OA Supporter Membership - Boydell & Brewer

Some institutions may not wish to sign up to a book package, or may not be able to. However they might still want to support, and help to fund, the frontlist of Open Access monographs that Boydell and Brewer publishes. For these institutions we have created an ‘OA Supporter Membership’.

You can sign up to an OA Supporter Membership 'package’ for three years - this will help to fund OA monographs but you will not receive access to any backlist packages of book titles. It is simple and quick to join: just fill in the sign up form with the appropriate details and we’ll do the rest. No further action is required from you once we have processed the payment.

The OA Supporter Membership fees are the same as for our book packages. Library and institutional members are banded according to their size, in line with the Carnegie Classification and as recognised by Lyrasis. Based on this, our annual membership fees are:

Membership is for a minimum of three years.

Shown in table are annual fees in USD (US Dollars, $) / GBP (Pound Sterling, £), excluding VAT.

Due to rising publication costs, a 2.5% annual increase has been applied for annual payments. The slight annual rise in membership fees reflects rising inflation rates alongside rising production costs for publishers globally. This enables us to continue to use membership revenue solely to produce new OA monographs, moving towards an affordable, sustainable model for the future of academic publishing. And while the rises are around 2.5%, in real terms they are no more than a rise of around $20 to $80 a year.
