Library and institutional members are banded according to their size, in line with the Carnegie Classification and as recognised by Lyrasis. Based on this, our annual membership fees for a Single Package are:

Tier 2026 2027 2028
Associate’s Colleges | CRKN Bands 1–5 | UK and European small $750 / £520 $770 / £535 $790 / £550
Baccalaureate/Master’s Colleges & Universities | CRKN Bands 6–9 | UK and European medium $990 / £685 $1015 / £705 $1040 / £720
Doctoral Universities | CRKN Bands 10–13 | UK large and European $1350 / £935 $1385 / £960 $1420 / £985

Membership is for a minimum of three years.

Shown in table are annual fees in USD (US Dollars, $) / GBP (Pound Sterling, £), excluding VAT.

Due to rising publication costs, a 2.5% annual increase has been applied for annual payments. The slight annual rise in membership fees reflects rising inflation rates alongside rising production costs for publishers globally. This enables us to continue to use membership revenue solely to produce new OA monographs, moving towards an affordable, sustainable model for the future of academic publishing. And while the rises are around 2.5%, in real terms they are no more than a rise of around $20 to $80 a year.

If you would like to prepay your entire 3 year subscription, please let us know. The 3 year prepayment option benefits from a fixed annual price with no price increase during the 3-year term.

Sign up for libraries will be facilitated by Lyrasis soon. In the meantime you can pledge your support via our simple sign up form using the button below, or you can simply email them on membersupport@lyrasis.org
